Christmas presents the are the bain of everyone's existence. What to give? how much to spend? Who to give to?
These thoughts consume our waking hours through December or if your me late December and January taking advantage of the sales.
Stocking stuffers
Stockings have been around for many years and would include small cheapish items that a person needed and a few treats. In my childhood my Stocking had items I would need for the next year at school such as a pencil, ruber, pen, coloured pencils and felts. There would always be a new pair of knickers and socks, a bag of my favourite lollies, a small amount of chocolate and a few pieces of fruit. The expensive ones that were a rarity due to their price. Often these days stockings have included very expensive toys and gifts which is not in the spirit of Santa Claus. Too often kids are going back to school bragging about the expensive stuff they got from Santa while others still receive stockings that have those simpler cheaper gifts.
